Thermowells are protective tubes for thermocouples, resistance thermometers and bimetallic thermometers, manufactured from stainless steel (AISI 304, 316L, 321), Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, Incoloy or titanium.

Depending on the temperature and pressure, thermowells are manufactured from solid bar stock or from welded-seam tubing. The process connection can be fitted with an external thread (1/2‘, 3/4’, 1‘, NPT, BSP or BSPT), whilst the thermometer connection has a standard internal thread of 1/2’ NPT or BSP.

Flanges in DIN-ASA or UNI designs with various pressure ratings are available. As an option, the thermowells can be fitted with a Teflon coating (PTFE, PVDF, FEP, Halar), a wear-resistant layer or a tantalum lining.
