Measuring temperature seems easy. But choosing the right sensor for a specific process, environment or accuracy requirement – that’s another specialism altogether. Tempcontrol has been developing and producing tailored temperature sensors for 50 years now: thermocouples and resistance thermometers (NTC/PTC/RTD) in every version imaginable.

Tailored temperature sensors

What you see on this website is examples, not limitations. Tempcontrol is specialised in client-specific temperature sensors. Insert length, diameter, process connection, material used, construction: it can all be discussed. Since we produce the sensors ourselves, we’re flexible in both tailoring and delivery time. Both series production and single units are possible.

If accuracy and long-term stability count, a resistance thermometer is the right choice. Platinum resistance thermometers are suitable for temperature measurements of between -260 °C and +650 °C and are available in single or duplex models, with fixed cable connection, connector or connecting head. Resistance thermometers can also be multi-point models so they can measure on various temperature profiles.

With a broad temperature range, fast response and resistance to severe conditions, thermocouples are versatile temperature sensors. Suitable from -270 °C tot +2300 °C and available in one, two or three measuring circuits in a metal or ceramic protective tube.

Each type of thermocouple has its own characteristics. Type K for general use across a large range of temperatures, Type T for cryogenic applications, Types R and S for high temperatures up to +1600 °C. We’re happy to advise you on which type best suits the process.
